Motivation

Hello Everyone!

If you are having a difficult time finding motivation try one of these simple first steps to help you get motivated. Use the list above and choose one act that will get you moving and motivated.

1. Make a list
Making a list is very helpful for a number of reasons. It frees up usable brain space and helps us to collect our thoughts. We have "to dos" for work, home, family, goals etc. The types of lists we can create are endless and all are very helpful. If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, make a list and start crossing things off as you complete them. Write down the simplest things so that you can cross things off, this will help you to feel successful and it will encourage you to keep going.

2. Clean
Clean a room or a closet that you have been avoiding. Cleaning an area in your space will get you up and moving. Seeing the change you created in your space and benefiting from a clean environment will encourage you to keep going, hence...motivation!

3. Schedule

Make a schedule for your week. Some individuals will make a schedule for three days of their week and another schedule of the other 2 days in the work week and possibly a different schedule for their Saturdays and Sundays. Making a schedule helps us to stay on track and keeps us from getting discouraged and falling behind. When we fall behind we tend to lose motivation.

Go ahead and pick one and get started...

Remember, no matter where you are at....start there!
