Take a Breath

Hello Everyone...
Remembering to take a breath is a great coping skill. We get so busy at work, home and school that we can forget the importance of remembering to stop and take a breath. Reminding ourselves to relax and just breath is an important part of coping with ourselves and our days. Even if you were to stop in this moment and take a deep breath and tell yourself to "relax" you will more than likely notice a change. This can change the way your body feels, it can immediately change your thoughts and ultimately change your mood. This is a great idea to begin to implement into your daily life to help you better cope with life stressors.
Take care everyone and remember to breathe and to relax!

Hello Everyone,
Where do you want to be in a year? Do you want to be out of debt, or to purchase a new house? What do you want for your life. Set some goals that you would like to achieve and then write them down. You may also draw a picture or find pictures of what you would like to have in your life. Then place these goals where you can see them on a daily basis. Be sure that you are specific in your goals. Don't just state that you want to pay off your debt, list the debt and the amounts. Don't just say you want a new job, be specific about the job, pay and location. Don't just say you want to buy a house, name the price, location and what you are wanting in a home.
It is important that we set goals and keep them in sight. I encourage you to write down your goals and to place them where you can see them.
Take care everyone now go set some goals and I will do the same!

Wore Out

Hey Everyone,
Are you making an effort not to live? Do you avoid decisions, people or places? Do you allow fear to control your choices and actions? Is there something you would like to do that you keep putting off? What does it mean to "live"? If you are not "living" now, then when was the last time you felt that you were living? Who was in your life, or out of your life? Where did you live, what did an average day look like to you? As it stands, are you feeling alive or worn out? If you are worn out, take an inventory of your life. Are you making an effort to live, or not live? If you are making an effort to live then keep going, but if you are not, then start today. Do one thing that moves you in the direction of living your life. If I can do it, you can do it!

Take care and stay encouraged!

Choose Love

I choose to love Johnny Cash :) In reading his words, I realized that when we think about choosing love, we may only think about big events such as; war, evil vs. good or racism. But, do we think about moments, conversations or disagreements? If love is patient, kind and long suffering; do we show this kind long suffering patience in the heat of a moment with a loved one. Or, do we act as if we hate them? If Cash is right, then maybe we need to be mindful of what our behavior (especially to those we love) in a difficult moment is reflecting. Does our behavior reflect the choice of choosing to love or are we emulating hate? Pay attention to what you choose, and if it's not love and you want to choose to love, then change it...
Take care everyone, and thanks for reading....
