Sometimes we find ourselves in a position where we can feel as though we are breaking. There is honor in fighting a good fight, but I wonder if there is honor in fighting? How would our lives change if we could learn to bend so we are not constantly being broken or breaking others? When we are broken, we are fighting outside of ourselves and the break tends to signify a loss and this is not always a bad or negative thing. However, when we begin to learn to deal with ourselves, we learn and begin to bend, less breakage and fewer losses...Take an honest inventory this week, how much did you bend....are you learning to deal with yourself or are you still more focused on others and how they cause you to break...Be encouraged and hang in there, bending can feel so liberating. Remember, bending is not weakness, it takes lots of courage!
Hello Everyone,

Hello everyone,
Have you ever felt the "violent shake" of sorrow? Has sorrow ever pulled at the rotting roots of your heart? In the midst of your pain, did you realize that sorrow was making room for the joy that was to come. Sometimes we try to out-wit sorrow, we may run to someone, somewhere or something instead of allowing sorrow to do its' job. When we do this, we keep those rotten roots and we have to hustle to keep one step ahead of sorrow. The truth is, sorrow does have its' place, does have its' time and is preparing us for the coming joy. The next time you are experiencing the power of sorrow, please remember that it is okay to hurt and sometimes that hurt is nothing more than the feeling of the joy that is coming! Keep your head up and I will do the same.... |
